About
Montana Rainbow
Helping girls across Montana grow into confident leaders, build real-life skills, and create lifelong friendships.
What is Montana Rainbow?
Montana Rainbow is part of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, a nonprofit organization for girls ages 10–20 focused on leadership, service, and personal growth.
Through hands-on experiences, girls build confidence, develop leadership skills, and form meaningful friendships.
Founded in 1922, Rainbow was created to help young women grow through service and community—and that mission continues today in Assemblies across Montana.

The International Order of the Rainbow for Girls helps prepare girls for life as confident, capable, and compassionate individuals.
Rainbow welcomes girls from all backgrounds and creates a space where every member is valued and respected.
We are committed to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all members, volunteers, and guests.
A Global Community with Lifelong Connections
Rainbow is part of a global community with members across 45 states and 9 countries.
With over 275,000 active members and more than one million alumni, Rainbow creates connections that last far beyond local Assemblies.
Many former members stay involved as mentors and leaders—supporting the next generation of Rainbow Girls.
History
Rainbow was founded in April 1922 in McAlester, Oklahoma by Rev. W. Mark Sexson.
His vision was to create an organization where young women could build confidence, develop leadership skills, and grow through service to their communities.
Later that same year, Montana Rainbow was established—continuing that mission across the state.
