Everything Grand

Everything Grand

The heart of leadership, tradition, and connection in Montana Rainbow.

What Does “Grand” Mean?

In Rainbow, we refer to our state level as “Grand.” This structure mirrors our local Assemblies but operates on a statewide scale. Members take on leadership roles as Grand Officers and participate in our annual convention, known as Grand Assembly. Additionally, they engage in programs that connect Rainbow Girls across Montana and beyond.

The Grand level also offers opportunities, such as Grand Representatives, where members can build friendships with girls from other jurisdictions. This may even include traveling to visit and experience Rainbow in a new location.

Grand Assembly

Grand Assembly is our annual statewide convention, held once a year, typically in June. This three-day event gathers Rainbow Girls from across Montana and often from beyond the state for a weekend of leadership, connection, and celebration.

Each year, the location is chosen by the Grand Worthy Advisor, often in her hometown, allowing her community to participate in this special experience.

State Service Project

Special Olympics Montana

This year’s statewide service project encourages Rainbow Girls to support Special Olympics Montana and the athletes, families, coaches, and volunteers who make the organization so meaningful. Through service, fundraising, and community involvement, members can help celebrate inclusion, courage, friendship, and the joy of participation across Montana.

Meet Our Miss Montana Rainbow Service

Mikal C.

Since 1993, the title of Miss Montana Rainbow Service has been one of Montana Rainbow’s most meaningful honors—celebrating a member who truly lives out the values of service and leadership.

Selected by the Grand Executive Committee from recommendations submitted by local Assembly Advisory Boards, this award recognizes a Rainbow Girl whose impact is felt in her Assembly, school, and community. Nominees are considered without their knowledge, making the moment of recognition even more special.

The recipient is announced at Grand Assembly as a surprise and is honored with a tiara and sash to wear throughout her year.

Grand Officers

Grand Officers are selected to lead, represent, and inspire Montana Rainbow throughout the year. Through their service, they support local Assemblies, strengthen connections across the state, and help shape the Rainbow experience for all members.

Meet the leaders representing Montana Rainbow this year.
